Square One invites you to have a drink tonight
9:15a, 03/05/10
Thank you for all of the emails and calls regarding our re-opening. We are open for full service starting Monday, and we are open today and Saturday.

There are still a few loose ends that need to be addressed, but I will have our marketing people post our menu for tonight, in a moment.

There are 2 HUGE changes that I want you folks to see: we now have a real parking lot, and we have a pretty cool looking bar.

The menu will have multiple specials that will run for 3day periods, and will eventually be on the menu permanently. The chef and I have been working on dishes that are fun, and may be somewhat unique for the area, and look forward to feedback from you!

We are also planning incredible happy hour specials, to get folks in.

Oh yeah, you will probably want to start making reservations, because we have tightened up the seating.

We've loved watching the transformation - inside & out - and after seeing the menu, can't wait to try everything! We'll be by tonight...

I haven't been to that place in years, the last time where everyone sat around hungry in the dining room for 45 minutes while the staff hid in the kitchen did me in. $13 for Ben E Keith tomato sauce dumped on bowtie pasta didn't help.

Are you a new owner? Given that you're bragging about mashed potatoes on the homepage, I'm not too optimistic about trying it again.

I too had more than one bad experience there with service being bad and the food taking forever to come out. You were really taking your chances if you tried to eat there during your lunch "hour".

It sounds like you are making some really positive changes though and I am excited about coming back to try it out again. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants until the last few years when it went downhill.

Are you going to have a full bar now? That would be awesome if so. Good luck to you with the place.

Billdritz, I'm the new owner, and that is the old website. I'm not one to brag about mash potatoes, and I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Come try it again, and see what you think.

cfs, We're doing beer and wine, for now. That may change later.

Reservations? I don't need reservations! I'm the f--ing NFLFAN!

Now THAT is an intriguing menu. Looking forward to it.

The Salmon description just made my mouth water. That looks so freakin' good.

I'm pretty excited about the chef's technical skills, and think that we make great team. My goal is to use my creativity and his execution, to create fun dishes. We are also gearing the place up for a really cutting edge late seating (9:30- 11ish) menu, that will feel like a lounge.

When we get our crystal polished, I'll post a pic of the bar, later today.

I wanted to drive in for dinner, but the wife has a project to work on. We can't wait to check it out!
2:20p, 03/05/10
May see you tonight.

Will you be open for Sunday lunch?
3:03p, 03/05/10
Well, I'm sold. See ya tonight, Charles!
3:27p, 03/05/10
Holy cow, Charlie! Can't wait to come back & try out the new menu.
3:36p, 03/05/10
The menu looks good Charlie. Will you be open for lunch next week? Will the menu/prices be the same for lunch, or do you have a lunch menu you could post?
4:11p, 03/05/10
May I ask what confit dust is?
4:25p, 03/05/10
What? No more pork chops?
4:31p, 03/05/10
patton - look at the bottom of the menu.
5:04p, 03/05/10
Have portion sizes improved?
5:32p, 03/05/10
They have the best bread pudding - I am thinking it is the signature version. We actually had the white chocolate version a week or so ago because they said that they were out of the other. The white chocolate was a little too sweet for me, but still great! We really love the food there! Hope you have great success!

Is there a new website with all the new information, including menu?
6:22p, 03/05/10
Thundering Herd Lasagna?

Tortoise and Hare?

Those sound very tasty!
8:13p, 03/05/10
New menu sounds fantastic! I can't wait to come back and try it out. That place needed some fresh energy and it sounds like its got that now! I'm very excited.
8:55p, 03/05/10

Ate there tonight and you had a full house! The waitstaff was very friendly and the food was excellant!

I think you are on the right track, keep it up my friend!

Wow!! It was busy tonight!

Confit dust is the juice from confit duck, combined with a powder.

We need more attention paid to the website, sorry, next project.

Actually our new menu will have 3 preparations for pork chops. This was our First Friday menu.

We'll have a few dishes from this menu on our permanent one, but we will run 4 weekly specials.

I hope that people that came in tonight, like the feel, and we plan to have a really cool late seating.
