the Corner. but I was really laughing at your statement that "no one every really did" pop collars in CS. I used to sit in any bar, even the Chicken, and count the number of doooshes I saw with popped collars.

The Corner?? Thats one of my most visited bars and I never see it, ever. I think it's as ******y as you do, so I'd definitely remember seeing it.

I've never noticed it at NG, outside of 1 or 2 people, at least since I've been at A&M (2005).

Not calling you a liar, but you are 100% wrong about the Corner, at least as it is today.

Someone from 08 saying something never happened on NG?

HA!

Happened frequently SON.

Used to play poker with a frat guy at Dudd's who would get all pissy when we would fix his collar for him.

I saw several at The Corner just a few months ago. Hell, that was why we left.

I'm not saying it's as prevalent as it used to be, but yes, I still see it occasionally (probably less than 3 a night), and the Corner was where I used to see the worst offenders. there, and Logan's. and I should know, because we're at the Corner every home game weekend and have been the past couple of years--we get a table on the rooftop. we like to laugh at people with popped collars, so used to get much merriment from seeing them.

so I'm not 100% wrong about the Corner. think before you use absolutes.

I'll let you know how it goes this weekend, if I see even 1 i'll be absolutely shocked.

I'll gladly tell you....There's no argument that people that do it are d-bags. We can all agree on that much at least.

Popped collars may be out, but fear not...toolish-dooosh has a new face!!

Its the flat-brimmed Hurley hat, worn low over the eyes with various cowboy attire (or any attire really), including oversized belt-buckle and boots. The outfit is even funnier when said flat-brimmed hat accompanies a starched shirt and/or anything emblazoned with "affliction" or "christian audiger". This is absolutely seen every day at Northgate, regardless of what establishment you frequent.

This may not specifically scream "frat," but it certainly screams "lame"...

NOTE: Brand of hat may fluctuate based on availability at local convenience store. Bonus lame-o points are allotted if original tag or stickers are still attached to the brim during use.

Any similarities between the subject of this video and TexasAggie008 are purely coincidental. Or not.

Good point. Columbia shirts or more often, Magellan. These guys are *almost* as annoying as the guidos. They oftentimes have greek letters on their baseball hats.

I went to the Corver last night and I saw no less than 3 guys with popped collars. There may have been a fourth but I couldnt't tell with his jacked on, but I could swear I saw a shirt collar up over a jacket collar.

yeah, your right, im lying

Typical immaturity. A thread starts regarding a new bar and it morphs into labels, namecalling and other high school type behavoir....nice

popped collar = frat.

Seeing the light reflect off your gelled hair across the room = frat.
Looking unnaturally brown or even orange = frat.
Dressing like you should be going to a wedding rehearsal - consistently = frat.
Sporting your button up shirt - with at least the top 3 buttons undone = frat.

I think you're confusing Jersey Shore d-bag with frat d-bag. Frat guys all look exactly the same, but in a different way. Khaki shorts 2 sizes too short, pastel polo or fishing shirt, croakies with sunglasses around the neck(or just backwards sunglasses around the neck), fleece vest, polo hat and boat shoes. Still look like d-bags, but just a different kind.

sometimes i wear fishing shirts when fishing. sometimes i wear them on hot days.

when i go inside a building i typically loop my sunglasses around the back of my neck so as not to lose and/or crush them.

what does this make me?
3:35p, 11/22/09
important details i left out:
-sunglasses arent aviators
-no croakies. hence the putting on back of neck. but not guy fieri style.

please help

The Corner rooftop patio by far the best bar in Northgate. I don't care what anyone is wearing that location is top of the line. Big screens, good drinks, great location, and perfect when the weather is good.
4:45p, 11/22/09
Doesn't anyone go to Downtown Bryan? It's a great way to avoid the douchiness of ngate, popped collars or not. For the record I have also seen plently of popped polos at ngate. Pink ones no less.

Downtn bryan. Meh, not so much

Do you do it at night? Because that would put you in the frat category. There is absolutely no reason to carry sunglasses with you after the sun goes down.
8:56p, 11/22/09
well, if i was wearing my sunglasses, and then the sun went down, i would loop them around my neck until i could put them somewhere safe.

if i leave the car/house and its already dark, ill leave them there. unless i already had them on my neck and then forgot to take them off.

its very complicated. i should make a flowchart.

FYI, just wanted to let you know I'll be testing out ALL the new place(s) on Northgate this week and next. I'll be the one in the Columbia fishing shirt with the popped collar (two sizes too small to show off my "guns", backwards Hurley hat (pulled down past my eyebrows of course) and aviators with croakies, possibly dressed in either khaki shorts and boat shoes with no socks or $300 designer jeans, depending on the given weather. I might even wear an affliction/ed hardy shirt under/over the fishing shirt, just to keep things original.

Feel free to approach me and give me a hard right/left to the jaw if you recognize me or my outfit. I give you FULL permission.
