Where do I get a bowl of chili?
5:34p, 11/13/09
I want a bowl of chili. Like I'd get at the Texas Chili Parlor if I was in Austin. Any suggestions in the B/CS area?

best I've had is the Wendy's. DO NOT go to McAlister's--tastes like Wolf Brand.

Honestly, Texas Roadhouse serves an awesome version of our state dish. Get it with the cheese and red onions.

Invite your friends over for a Chili Potluck! You provide the chili and they can bring add-ins, like cheese, green onions, rice, spaghetti, olives, - what else?

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

My husband also likes the chili at Roadhouse. Other than that, I have a friend who's been making some in her crock pot all day.

C&J BBQ is advertising Chili although I haven't tried it yet.

And for the "uneducated palate", there is always Wendy's.

C&J's "chili" tastes like low-grade dog food.

Texas Roadhouse does have some good chili; I've made the 2 hour drive south a few times just to eat there and the chili never disappoints; probably the only place in this state to get decent chili

Neighbor, how long has it been since you had a hot, steamin' bowl of horse diarrhea? Well, that's too long!

Koppe Bridge has fair (not great) chili.

If you don't make it yourself, it's not good.

for fast food, Wendy's actually does a pretty good job on their chili.

(as long as you dont find a finger in it)

Our chili starts out tasting like sloppy joe's in the morning, but as it cooks during the day, we sell bowls of it. If you ask one of us, if it is good chili "yet", we'll let you know.

Do not eat the chili at Wendy's.

Trust me. I worked there during high school.

I'll agree with some others here that Texas Roadhouse has some damn fine chili.

We had TR chili last night. Great. Will have the rest today for lunch.

Well, pass on Wendy's chili early in the day...give it some time to thicken up.
